Miniaturization of biogas raw materials

In the process of generating biogas from organic raw materials by methane bacteria, it is important to miniaturize the raw materials.
If the raw material is large (several centimeters or more), the fermentation efficiency will decrease, and adverse effects such as a longer fermentation time and a decrease in the amount of gas generated will occur.

The following methods are typical for miniaturization.

Physical crushing: Decomposition rate / high

​ Ultrasound: Decomposition rate / highest

Pyrolysis: Decomposition rate, small to medium

Ozone treatment: Decomposition rate / medium

Biological treatment: Decomposition rate, small to medium
